In Brief:
Uncle Monsterface is fun, high energy nerd rock that stares you down from across the bar and dares you not to have a good time with them. They make songs about ninjas, Nintendo, D&D, lobsters, and life. Their live shows often include giant dancing monsters, notably one that shares the name with the band, and is also a sock puppet. As a matter of fact, many of their songs are about real sock puppets. Listen up and get down.

Less Brief: The UNCLE is back.
UNCLE MONSTERFACE is now drums, guitar, and many many keyboards with Marty singing while he plays bass. Paradise Dan is still stealing hearts and minds (and souls) with his rock guitar prowess and boy-ish charms. Epic Eric Swanson still hits drums with sticks. Hard. And in 2012 we’ve been super-excited to introduce the Keyboard-Slaying styling of Hidden Harlan Muir, Submarine Commander-at-large. The sock puppets have started making appearances again, but it’s mostly Rock Out City.
RISE OF THE LAVA MEN
UNCLE MONSTERFACE is currently recording selections from their forthcoming full-length album, “The RISE of the LAVA MEN”, the story of a rag-tag band of ancient superheroes, as unearthed under the ashes of New Ashville City (in the shadow of Mt. Bombpei), Dino-skeleton Island. This will be their first full length album since 2008’s “This Is an Adventure”, and the first-ever recordings of an all-live Uncle Monsterface.
Rest assured, the sock puppets (and the Perfect Jimmy) are always lodged firmly inside of their collective hearts (a condition that is actually twice as painful as it sounds).
We here at Monsterface Industries are thrilled about our current status like poorly monitored children eating oversized ice cream cones while riding a talking roller coaster that goes underwater and back in time.
PREVIOUSLY ON…
Originally a trio from Boston, Uncle Monsterface began simply – hanging out and making up rock songs. The founding members, Marty Allen, ‘Paradise’ Dan Brennan, and ‘Perfect ‘Jimmy Bernardinelli met in college and while working on a local cable access variety show. Frontman Marty Allen had accumulated many songs (Marty’s Song A Day – http://blogspot.martystuff.com) and sock puppets and needed help – Uncle Monsterface was formed/birthed/conjured.
The boys suddenly found themselves living inside a giant treehouse/volcano with a sock puppet who was also a monster who was also a power inside of them. A simple rock show quickly escalated into a ‘multimedia fiasco and/or experience’. The boys released two full length albums, two EPs, many strange videos (including a variety show and sock puppet soap opera), and toured nationally. There was a sock puppet stage, giant monsters, accompanying synchronized videos projected on their bed-sheet fort theater.
And then, more recently, there wasn’t.
