hello, TEAM MONSTERFACE,

we here at MONSTERFACE INDUSTRIES realize that GIFT DAE has already gone by, but if we’re not mistaken the gifty-bot-unicorn-omatrix-omonster klaw 5800 might have left something else tucked behind the GIFT DAE vortex…

that’s right, we think you missed a present…

go ahead…unwrap it…
oh don’t worry about the paper…
what is it?
what is it?!

IT’S A BRAND NEW UNCLE MONSTERFACE SONG called
ROBOT QUEST!

check it on the myspace
or just listen right here.

sooooo… merry gift dae, team. we made you a new song, and we invite you to listen to it, and of course to tell us what you think. you can even totally download it for now, cuz we love you piles and bunches.

but as per usual, there are a few snippets of explanation.

of particular historical note: this is the first-ever uncle monsterface song to feature a LIVE DRUMMER. that’s right, salutations and uproarious applause for our good friend super drummer gabriel duquette. he bringeth the rock powers extreme, no? go listen to his other band – SAM BUCK ROSEN.

this song has yet another historical anomaly – paradise dan’s first ever feverish zombie face melting guitar solo. it’s extreme, hold on to your faces, don’t let go of your toes.

live drums? guitar solos? perhaps you are saying to yourself, ‘um, uncle monsterface, questing for giant robots is cool and all, but, um, is that kind of stuff really your style? live drums, guitar solos? OMG WFRBZLM?’
thanks for asking. in answer, not in particular. or sometimes. but this song is particularly weird because it was made especially for a secret project that may or may not come together, and therefore we can only reveal it with thinly veiled allusions.

in short, we may or may not have made this song in the hope of getting it added as a download for some sort of electronic game. a game about making up rock songs. while being in a band. our hopes for this have thinned a bit since the songs inception, but it still might happen, but technically we aren’t even talking about it, so hush. so if this song seems a bit more ‘by the numbers’ than usual, that is quite probably why.

the song is about a giant zombie attack of giant zombies upon and against our earth. we have to go on a robot quest to find robot suits to defend the earth (and you guys!). we go on a harrowing journey (climbing volcanoes, riding huge bears…) and find these suits. engaging in the epic fray, our suits turn into rock and roll instruments, and instead of bloodshed, we create a giant zombie robot rock band.

we hope that you like it.

throughout january, we are working hard on our new rock and roll album, and we have some big plans for tee vee as well. huzzah!

yay. and rock. and rock and yay and rock.

ever your loyal,
uncle monsterface

for your futurustic enjoyment: the lyrics:

there’s been a giant zombie attack
on our planet
we’ve got to save the human race
a sinister undead plan
from the depths of the great beyond
our destiny –
we must finally face
(in outer space)

climbing volcanoes
riding huge bears
learning from wise trolls
heroes who dare

(we’re on a)
ROBOT QUEST
(rock n roll)
ROBOT QUEST
[repeat-o]

four giant robot suits, strewn across the planet
through water wind and rainbow fire
with powerful huge cool guns
jet packs
and awesome miss-iles
fighting wizards, beasts
and oddly polite vampires

climbing volcanoes
riding huge bears
learning from wise trolls
heroes who dare

forming giant robot
GIANT ROBOT ROCK BAND
the power of robot guitar
drumsvoice and bass
right here to melt your zombie face:
ROBOT GUITAR!

ROBOT DRUMS!

wahhhhhahahhhahhooooohhh

(we’re on a)
ROBOT QUEST
(rock n roll)
ROBOT QUEST
(ZOMBIE ROBOT ROCK BAND)
(we’re on a)
ROBOT QUEST
