Puppet Portraits Make Songs!

Greetings, TEAM!

It’s me, marty, the guy from Uncle Monsterface who also makes the sock puppets and their portraits!

And it’s high time I got back to selling puppety portraits on the streets on NYC!
So: I’m back on the streets hocking my wares in Union Square (mostly Saturdays, current schedule is inconsistent…), and mail orders are once again being accepted!

And to celebrate my return, guess what? The first of the SERIES 2 Myspace profiles has launched!! AHOY! That’s right, go become friends with
Spot the Elusive Dinosaur!

AND listen to his original song! (Um, BTW it’s kind of dark. Most of them are turning out that way. Heh…) That’s right, everyone from the SERIES 2 SOCK PUPPET PORTRAITS will not only have their own myspaces, they will be their own myspace bands. (Monsterface’s own Paradise Dan helped engineer this one!)
And remember – you don’t have to BE on Myspace to check them out and download the song!

So we’ve got 8 more to go…
I also plan to have all of those guys available for sale online before the year is up!

And hey – while you’re checking out Spot and everthing, go become friends with some of his brethren, too – start with the good olde duchess of spitmeadow? or maybe the trusty Sock Puppet Presidents? They’re under-loved.

THANKS FOR BEING AWESOME!

lovemarty

We went on tour!

Hi internet world of worlds!
We’re back from our big huge tour, and the reports you’ve heard are partially accurate – it was the best time ever! But we’re super excited to be re-united with Perfect Jimmy, and we’re currently huddled together in the warm and glowy confines of Dino-skeleton Island planning escapades, misadventures, and oddly enough a tupperware party. For zombies! But we assure you that big news is not only afoot, but also a huge hand worthy of the Yeti.

Ahhhh, the mighty Yeti…

Need something Monsterfacey to do in the meantime?
Write a review of “This is an Adventure’ on iTunes. Or else make me a sandwich. Or both!
I’m hungry…

More sooooooooon!

ever your representative of loyalty, joviality, and a confused sense of liability,
martyface

SUPER TUESDAY special LIVE DRUMS DEROCKRACY special

hello and howdy, good TEAM MONSTERFACE.
we put something special up for you, in honor of this very fine and historic
SUPER TUESDAY.
it’s a crazy LIVE DRUMS version of DEROCKRACY!
(currently living on the myspace. don’t fear the myspace, you needn’t be on it to listen, and if you are on it, say ‘howdy’.)

vote, participate, talk about the election with everyone and do your best not to succumb to the political cynicism that runs rampant like a kid on a sweet new big wheel. if you don’t vote, don’t complain. you forfeit your right. we aren’t terribly interested in mixing up politics with our sock puppet rock band, so that’s as much as you’ll ever get from us…

ever your loyal,
uncle monsterface

december 7 is our rock and roll birthdae.

on this dae of daes, 3 longish-short years ago, uncle monsterface played their first-ever rock and roll show in cambridge’s zuzu cafe.

there was no puppet theatre. no video projections. no dance contest or madonna songs or rock cd or internet tee vee channel or wizard rock parties or monsterface emergencies or inflatable monkeys or megaphones or capes or or…with rare exceptions, there was no YOU yet, either…lobster building even came early on in the set. SHEESH!

we’ve done a bunch of stuff since then (but back then, we still brought the rock…)!

happy birthdae to us!

ever your loyal,
uncle monsterface

we love the wizards – an all-star salute to the HP!

dearest TEAM MONSTERFACE.

as camp monsterface winds down, we here at MONSTERFACE INDUSTRIES are starting to get all wound up for a staunch and bug-swallowing motorcycle-ride full of exciting events and activities (new songs! more shows! new TEE VEE!).

but first and foremost – like so many loyal and wide-eyed members of TEAM MONSTERFACE – we’re totally excited for the final HARRY POTTER BOOK to come out! (if you don’t share this enthusiasm, skip this whole bit and wait for some cool things next week…)

i’m back! aw yeah!

hello!
i am back from running across the country with some wizards!
(for those not keeping up, for the month of june in the year 2007, i hit the road with flagship wizard rockers harry and the potters to help carry stuff, sell stuff, help make them sound nice, and to sell my own sock puppet portraits and see our grrrreat nation.)

we ran all the way from brooklyn to los angeles, rocking out every night at breakneck speeds of mightiness and with the unbridled fury of boundless awesomeness.

‘how was your trip across the country with the wizards?’ a curious and intrepid young sailor or spelunker might ask.

‘very excellent, indeed,‘ i would answer.
which would be a colossal but politically necessary lie…
