A couple of months ago, Marty’s first book, “Sock Puppet Madness,” was published. It took a minute, but now we’re having an awesome party to celebrate!

Facebook likes to know when you do things, and then count the number of other people who are doing them, too!

Marty from Uncle Monsterface, this band and puppet, just launched a Kickstarter campaign! To Save the Sock Puppet Portraits!
More accurately: He’s trying to fund the production of the next series of Sock Puppet portraits AND their related BOOK! But I assure you, they are endangered…

What’s a Kickstarter campaign?
It’s a way for people to fund creative ideas and get something back. The kids call it “crowd sourcing”. Keen. Win win win!

He’s looking to raise $5000, and there’s lots of cool rewards including AN EXCLUSIVE Kickstarter-funder ONLY Sock Puppet Portrait of:
“Starski the Kickstartin Horse!”

Check it out! Help spread the word!

Marty’s Sock Puppet Portraits move to Tank in Manhattan, Reception this Thursday

Hello Citizens of Sock Puppet Interest (both general and specific),

Two sock puppet-related events are hurtling towards Manhattan in a sleigh driven by burly, forsaken, and untimely elves…
Did you miss the display of Marty’s newest Sock Puppet Portraits at Brooklyn’s Sputnik? Do you need to see it more? The show is moving to Manhattan! (cue “Movin’ on Up”).

The Tank
354 W 45th St
New York, NY 10036

Opening Reception: May 14 at 6:30pm

Come for the Opening reception and stick around for the Tank’s amazing Puppet Series, Puppet Playhouse (or just hang out and have some beers, you don’t have to go to Puppet Playhouse). If you do go to Puppet Playhouse, you should know that Marty doesn’t have any work in it. But you should also know that it’s awesome – puppeteers interpreting modern musicians, this month featuring the Magnetic Fields.

THIS show at the Tank foreshadows ANOTHER SHOW AT THE TANK…
